The technology may have moved on, but the method is the same.
Is your business still pouring money into an empty room?
The way the world consumes content has changed and while some old mediums are still hanging in there with a slight heartbeat, they’re fast approaching retirement. But where did all of the audiences that once inhabited these realms go?
Radio advertising is one example. When life was programmed and we couldn’t choose when and how we listen to what we wanted, we’d tune into our favourite radio segment or use radio to listen to music in the car when traveling.
In 2026, radio audiences have declined hugely; we have all realised that we don’t have to listen to Kyle Sandilands anymore. We can choose what we want to listen to, and audiences have switched off the old-tech radio programming and are now using modern technology to stream music and podcasts.
Some studies even show a reduction in local radio audiences as much as 95% over the last 5 years.
In the year 2000, a business may have found some benefit from positioning their 30 second advertisement in between music and regular radio segments, but definitely not today. A business who is pouring money into advertising on local radio networks is simply wasting their resources because they are spending their budget to broadcast their message into an empty room.
The new ‘radio’ today is streaming, and the old radio audience has moved to this more efficient and practical space to absorb the content they want to listen to. Unless you’re 95 years old and stuck in your ways, these days the vast majority of people are using Spotify and YouTube to listen to music, vlogs and podcasts whether at home, at work or while driving and commuting.
Same, too, goes with the old-style television commercials. Once again, back when life was programmed and you had to be in front of the TV to watch Friends at 7.30pm on a Wednesday, it made sense for advertisers to fill the ad slots between segments with their selling messages. But once again, this has become another empty room, and a business who pours money into it with their marketing budget really needs to book a health check.
This TV audience has also moved to the same space as the old-tech radio listeners, we’re all on YouTube, listening, watching, absorbing whatever content we want.
The good news is the method of advertising to your audience is exactly the same. By broadcasting your advertising in a similar way as the old-tech days, but to the medium that has captured almost all of the marketable audience, is what a clever business owner is now doing.
At Allcorp we are Google and YouTube Partners and have been for a very long time. We also have access to the most advanced metrics and data through the Google Partners portal to be able to make even more targeted decisions as to where to place our client advertising messages with more accuracy for finding the right audience.
Talk to us today about moving your old-tech TV and Radio advertising to the YouTube network and find your customers again.

You can rely on our experience to get the job done!
Over 26 years of class-leading digital marketing
When it comes to choosing a digital marketing partner to work with in the North Queensland region, business owners are definitely spoilt for choice. There are lots of them out there, all marketing themselves as the best in the business.
With all of the white noise around who is the self-proclaimed best in the business, it can be confusing to find the right agency, especially when there is so much weaponising of jargon aimed at maintaining confusion.
One way that a business owner can see who could offer experienced and knowledgeable services in the digital marketing arena, is to look at their past projects. Many of the services offered by a modern digital marketing agency can have no official rulebook. One such example of this is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), there are no official courses on how to do this and there’s no real guidance from Google. The only way someone can learn what works and what doesn’t, is through experience.
With website design and development, there are official university courses one can do to learn how to properly produce a website product from the code level. But 95% of the agencies in our region have not done them, instead opting for the WordPress style templated website products. With the rapid advancements of AI, these types of website makers will eventually be redundant.
At Allcorp we produce digital marketing products at volume and scale, and we have been doing so for 26 years. Honing our skills in real world environments where every day is a school day, having worked on thousands of digital marketing projects, along with associated services such as our photography, videography and copywriting services, we’ve become the most experienced in our field.
The same goes with Google Ads marketing. Allcorp were the first business in North Queensland to be recognised as an official Google Partner and today, we manage a portfolio of Google and YouTube Ads for hundreds of local and interstate businesses.
At the end of the day, we all love what we do, and we do it very well. By working with us as your digital marketing partner you can rest assured that our advice is based on decades of experience across thousands of projects.

We’re noticing lots of businesses are changing hands this year
Make sure your business’ digital marketing assets are handed over at settlement
Allcorp are fortunate to work with thousands of local businesses in the NQ region and beyond, which gives us insights into developing patterns amongst the community. One common trend we have noticed is that a lot of businesses are being sold.
Most of what we are seeing is larger corporate operators buying up the smaller local businesses and absorbing them into the company. That’s great news for the sellers, many of whom are hoping to now enjoy a less busy life in early retirement.
One thing that we have also noticed is that the digital marketing assets that they have accumulated over the years aren’t always being passed on to the purchaser with correct values taken into consideration. One such example would be if your business had Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) services optioned. A product like SEO, when done correctly, usually takes many months to get perfect and then the years of maintenance can ensue. This is money your business has invested and, like your website, should have an associated value for sale purpose.
Not only from a value perspective, but it would also be important for the new business owner to actually know what is going on with Google Ads, SEO, Social Media Marketing, YouTube Ads and so on. The last thing a new business owner wants is to throw an asset away that was actually working extremely well. One such example was where one of our small-to-medium-sized business clients made a deal to sell their company to a bigger national chain. The purchaser then proceeded to take control of all of the domain names the client had collected and just point them all to the main HQ website.
This client had invested a lot of money into our SEO services and were ranking dominantly in Google Search. But when the national company took down the optimised website and pointed all of the domain names to the head office website, the rankings disappeared within a week.
If the purchasing company had known that there was thousands of dollars’ worth of SEO already implemented and working, they may have made decisions to maintain the existing website rather than decommissioning it completely. This could have also increased the sale value of the business.
Another example is where a client has amassed a collection of domain names other than their primary website and email domain name. Some of our clients have dozens of domain registrations, whether to help SEO or just to ensure their competitors can’t have them, and providing an accurate list of these to the purchaser will help them make decisions as to what domain names they want to keep.
If you are considering selling your business and we take care of your digital marketing, let us know so we can prepare a digital marketing handover package that will let your potential purchaser know what you have established in this space and also see the true value of it to maximise your sale price.

Supporting the local building industry - Celebrating 7 years as a Gold Sponsor of Cairns, Townsville and North Queensland HIA Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards
The years really do fly by when you’re busy! We now find ourselves preparing to head to Townsville for the final stage of the North Queensland regional HIA Awards. After witnessing the incredible work produced by the Cairns building industry at the Cairns HIA Awards in early October, it’s now Townsville and Central Queensland’s turn to shine.
The Cairns Awards in early October focused solely on the Cairns region, while the Townsville Awards Night will be split into two parts. The first will celebrate achievements from Townsville and Central Queensland HIA members, followed by a second part that brings together winners from both Cairns and Townsville for the North Queensland region showdown.
This Saturday’s HIA Awards gala in Townsville is sure to be interesting and we can’t wait to see what the Townsville and Central Queensland region showcases for Home of the Year. This category was awarded to our friends and clients at Ash Moseley Homes in Cairns for their spectacular home in Barrine, affectionately called The Pine Ridge Retreat. We have some great building industry clients in Townsville too and look forward with excitement to see what they’ve all been working on. The bar was definitely set high at the Cairns awards.
It’s not just builders; there are also many awards for the kitchen and bathroom sectors, and we can’t wait to see what clients we get the pleasure to present awards to this year.
Eligible category winners of the overall North Queensland HIA Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards will then be combined with the regional winners from all over the state for the state awards. The winners of the state awards then compete in the national HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.
Team Allcorp will be front and centre as Gold Sponsors for the Townsville awards and, based on past years, will be noticeable for not being quiet. We wish all of our building industry clients the best for these upcoming awards and can’t wait to catch up with everyone down in Townsville.

All of these projects have been managed from start to finish by our local team. At Allcorp we are the local choice for professional website design.
